Happy Holidays!

We hope this finds everyone having a pleasant winter.    We have been busy with all the winter work that goes on at the farm during this time of year.  We have finished trimming all of the apple and pear orchards and are now trimming the 120 acres of grapes, this is about a 4 month project as they are very labor intensive and are done manually.  In January we will start one of our favorite winter tasks:  Ordering our seeds from the multitude of seed catalogs that have arrived!    Then it will be soon time to get the greenhouse going again with tomatoes.

So while we are busy, winter gives us an opportunity to slow down and catch up on many projects pushed aside during the busy summer.  We also get a chance to rest up and relax and reflect.    One thing we miss about winter is seeing all of our great customers, so please know we wish you a very happy holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in 2011.    All the best to you and your families for the New Year.
