Whew….what a busy weekend we had. Thanks to everyone who came out…..we loved watching so many people have fun picking apples, grapes, going down the big slide, reading our Spookley story in the front yard and eating our pumpkin and apple donuts!
We opened the Concord purple grape picking today and given the cool weather we have had, we would like them to be riper. So….if you can wait at least another week or 10 days, they will be much riper and you will be happier with them. ( Come in October.) If you are trying to pick both Concord and the white Niagara, you can wait for both. We are holding a vineyard of the white Niagara grapes for you to pick.
We opened U-Pick apples this weekend for 6 varieties. Please check back with us as we hope that more of the varieties will be ready by next weekend (28th).
We had a lot of fun making our first donuts this weekend…..thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy some. We will be making donuts on Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of the season.
We were very happy Mother Nature gave us an inch of rain this past week, now we would like some sun and warmth to finish ripening those grapes and the rest of the apples. It is supposed to be a nice week.
Thanks as always for buying local, Beth and everyone at Corey Lake Orchards
