and rained and rained….and 6 plus inches later…it stopped and the sun came out! We truly thank all of you who came to the farm and endured a little (or a lot) of wetness to still pick apples, grapes, pumpkins or just stay in the dry and enjoy cider and donuts!
Our grape vineyards did not need this much rain at once, so sadly, it has begun to cause the grapes to split. Fortunately about 90 % of our grapes have been picked already. So while we thought we would have grapes until the first frost, we are not so sure now. If you are still in need of grapes, we’d encourage you to come soon.
Please call before you come, to make sure we still have grapes left and check on the picking conditions. 269-244-5690.
